The Generous Briton was a small basic corner pub that used to be a Shipstones tied house.
Once inside there were a couple of small rooms and the pub was always busy whenever we went in it,there were two real ales on here these being Shipstones bitter and mild and these were usually a very nice drink.
This pub closed down quite a few years ago and now looks derelict but it is still standing.
