The Earl Manvers was a large victorian corner pub that did'nt have that much competition near to it.
I first visited this pub in 1982 and have been it a few more times since then, once inside there was a basic bar and a smarter lounge which i hav'nt been in.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar both the bitter and mild were very nice drinks.
The pub went into decline in the late 90s and finally closed around 2008 it has now been pulled down and is yet another Nottingham pub to bite the dust.
