Very popular city pub with older clientele with music a very big draw on weekends with motown nights and karaoke. This is quite a rough and ready place and does attract a few characters to not really a touristy place. Sadly No real ales are offered which only leaves john smiths Guinness or mans chestnut mil. I usually opt for the mild at a very good £2.00 a pint. This pub is near my bus stop so I stop by for a mild if ever I have a long wait but unless you have a big drive to sing 70’s hits in an overcrowded city pub this place probably won’t appeal to you.
*update October 2016, same as ever but chestnut mild has been swapped for Tetley mild and now costs £2.10

This used to be an Ansells tied house
This pub has'nt altered in years and it is like going back to the 70s when you go in here, the pub has got one room with a small raised area at the front to sit and watch the busy parliament street.
All the seating is very basic and there are usually two real ales on the bar when i went in recently it was Everards Tiger Bitter and Bombadier.
We dont mind coming in here for a quick drink as it is handy for the victoria shopping centre.
