I had planned to include this pub in my cycle tour because of its heritage interior, but fortunately I got into conversation with some locals at the Stanton Arms in Bilsthorpe and they told me it had been closed for some time, with new managers being sought. I cycled past the following morning as it was on my way and saw weeds growing around the door, and a discreet notice in a window asking for applicants to call - see photo. I'm guessing this is a Sam Smiths pub.
