The Maple Leaf Brewery was a large estate pub situated away from the town centre on Winthorpe Road.
Once inside this was quite a big pub with a large bar and a lounge,i had a dink in the bar which was empty on my Tuesday dinner visit.
With the pub having its own brewery i was expecting a decent drink only to find no real ales on the bar and keg Ansells Bitter which was a very poor drink.
I was very dissapointed after my walk out to this pub.
It is still a shame that the pub has been pulled down and housing put on its site.
