The Cavalier was a smart and comfortable pub situated in the middle of Newark.
Once inside the pub was quite smart with a single room which was carpeted,the seating was comfy bench type.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house with only fizzy John Smiths keg bitter on the bar.
It is a great shame that this pub has now been converted into a shop.
