Acquired by Everards in early 2016 and reopened in May. We were here on a Friday evening when it was fairly lively with mostly young people coming in and out and only a few people staying put with their drinks. This is a 1930s purpose built pub which has had its internal layout altered and now has the ambience of a sports bar. There were four hand pumps on the bar, which is centrally placed and somewhat contradictorily, takes up too much room while not giving the staff much space to operate in. The beers were all from Everards: Tiger, Beacon and Sunchaser, with Westons cider. It's good to see the pub has reopened, but it wouldn't be my first choice on my next visit to the village.
