Will Larter left this review about The Ravensdale
A Marstons pub built in the early 20th century - a stylish building with some internal features still preserved, like the wood panelling on some walls, though the layout of the rooms has been changed by the use of beams and pillars. It gave the impression of a well-used local facility, with the usual food offering, live sports on TV and four hand pumps on the bar. Three beers were available at the time of my visit, a fairly unadventurous offering of Pedigree, Hobgoblin and Old Empire IPA. I went for the last-named, a 5.7% beer that was a little short on flavour - but then, if it wasn't bland it wouldn't be Marstons. The beer was in good condition, and I have to say that if I lived in this part of Mansfield I wouldn't always walk into town for a beer - this one would be ok for the occasional visit.
