The Ling Forest is an estate type pub that is situated on a smartish estate to the east of Mansfields town centre.
Once inside there is a decent sized oblong shaped room to the front, this room is the lounge,it is carpeted and had comfy bench seating around the edge of the room and normal tables and chairs in the middle, there was some decent background music playing, there is a seperate bar room to the rear which is square shaped, this room had leather bench seating and a pool table to the rear.
The pub is an ex Mansfield tied house,so now a Marstons house, there were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Marstons EPA which went down well on a warm day,the other beers were Mansfield Cask and Banks's Sunbeam.
This is a very smart well kept pub,i would be quite happy if this was my local.
