Pleased To Meet You shares its premises with a cafe. On a Wednesday afternoon the cafe was doing much better business than the pub. From the entrance, the large island bar can be reached by going down a few steps. There is seating in both this lower level and nearer the entrance at street level. The lower level felt quite dark and with very few customers, it lacked any kind of atmosphere.
Almasty Morpeth Pale Ale is the regular cask beer. Guests were Almasty Summer Pale, Anarchy X-Ray Eyes & Neptune Ezili. I have to say that I prefer the Newcastle and Tynemouth branches of this small chain.
