Old Boots left this review about The Station Inn

A large imposing building opposite the station, reached by a back entrance off a public footpath behind the building through a beer terrace. An hotel so this is their public bar and is split into three areas, the counter being at the left hand end in a bar with a booth in one corner, another short booth beside it and taller stools dotted about. The middle area has low comfy seating and there's a further area on the right which is set up for dining. The beer choice is limited with a small horseshoe carrying a house badged beer, two lagers and a cider plus three solos for San Miguel, Carling and wobbly Guinness. Machine and piped music are available.

Despite the building’s size it's a small dark and fairly unappealing bar. Black, white and mushroom shades and a small corner servery with a button back lower. No cask though some bottles were in the fridge. Went for a Cameron's keg badged for the pub which turns out to be their smooth; fairly insipid stuff, but it did for a quick half to kill a bit of time before the train. Barmaid was friendly.

I didn't call in for a drink, as I was short of time and anyway WhatPub says there's no real ale. I did, however, cross the road very easily by the zebra crossing - maybe it has been installed since the two reviews below in 2008. The pub looks like it's been spruced up recently, so maybe one for a future visit.
