Somewhat bemused by the slightly ramshackle exterior, complete with old cars which proved to be the neighbour's. Inside found an old inn variously modernised with arty trims, which didn't do much for the atmosphere but was not unpleasant.. There are a couple of adjoining rooms with separate entrances leading to the bar, and a modern garden room behind, with a gravelled area outside.The place is clearly independently owned and far from corporate. There was one guest ale on handpump, which on this occasion was Born Blonde from over the border in Jedburgh. Food was OK.
