Alan Winfield left this review about The Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is a decent looking estate type pub that is situated to the south of the town centre.
Once inside there was a T shaped room with the bar facing, there was a pool table to the rear left, comfy bench seating was to the front left and right, the room was carpeted.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which was crap.
The pub was fairly busy with locals,i had a good chat and found out about the demise of some of Wellingboroughs pubs.
This is a proper locals pub,not one to go out of your way to do like i did.
