Very busy village pub catering for both drinkers and diners in a number of small rooms. The interior has been modernised, but still retains some charm.
The landlady was really friendly and eventually found us a table next to an open fire in the front bar, where a group were having a birthday celebration.
The regular ales are Hook Norton Hooky & Sharp's Doom Bar. But they also had a local guest beer, which was Senate Gold from the Roman Way brewery. Well, it would have been rude not to!
Friendly and likeable place which is clearly very popular with locals.

This pub is popular with local villagers in the surrounding area, it as 3 choices of real ale, and also used by ramblers, pub has ben featured in past CAMRA Good Beer Guides
