Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown Inn
Looks like a Bateman's pub from the colour of the signage, but it does also state 'free house'. However, the initial impression is reinforced by the paintwork, interior notices, etc. and the single real ale available from the pair of handpumps was XXXB (£3.60), so there is clearly a strong link. Anyway, the refurbished interior - featuring a L-shaped bar and compact side lounge area, is tidy but sparsely decorated.
