The Royal Oak in Walgrave looked quite promising from the outside. It was certainly an attractive village pub.
Inside, we found the bar with a young girl behind the bar who was old enough to take our order (and our cash), but not to dispense our drinks order! However, the barman/landlord soon appeared to help out.
The room to the left on entry is split into a couple of areas, with one having a TV, where a solitary customer was watching the rugby. Down a corridor and to the right-hand side was a further room being used by diners.
The beer range consisted on 4 fairly standard national beers - Marston's Pedigree, Woodforde's Wherry, Adnams Bitter & Young's London Original.
Another Northamptonshire pub that failed to deliver.
