A large pub with numerous beers available, rather dark inside with stained woodwork and green and red paintwork, it shares a penchant for the same wall decorations as its sister pub Olde England, stuffed animal heads and skulls. It is a live music venue with a large function room and apparently a massive beer garden though I didn't venture out to look.Drinks wise I chose Nobbys Chocolate Porter which turned out to be very chocolaty and very nice. Another good Northampton Pub.

The Black Prince is a decent looking pub that was until recently called the Racehorse.
Once inside the pub has two separate rooms,we had a drink in the room to the right which had tall tables and chairs to the front and normal tables and chairs to the rear, the bar is on the left side and also serves the room to the left which has normal tables and chairs.
There are loads of hand pumps on the bar and in both rooms 26 in all with 6 having real Ciders on,this left me with a choice of 20 real ales to choose from, far too daunting for me,i had a drink of a beer called Old England which was decent and well kept,my brother had a drink of J. Church Lions Den.
We did not have the faintest idea that this the last pub of the day would have so many real ales on,as it was not on our plan to do.
I will await the reviews that follow from the hordes who only chase real ale pubs.
We were the first.
