The Old House is a Barracuda chain pub that has a late license until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and Karaoke on Thursdays. Sky Sports is shown and there are plasma screens located throughout as well as a pool table that is located at the rear. The toilets are a bit of a mess and this is the first pub I have visited where the toilet basin has a big hole in it where it looks like someone’s foot has gone through it. The pub is located on the high street, but there are plenty of picnic tables out the back so smokers do not congregate by the entrance. The barman was very friendly and couldn’t believe his luck when twenty one blokes on a stag weekend walked into his empty pub at 14:00 on Saturday afternoon, but he soon had us all served. Greene King IPA and Bombardier were the ale options alongside some standard draught products and San Miguel.

This is not a place I would actively seek out for a return visit.
