The Griffin located in the village of Pitsford sits on the way to the main car park to Pitsford Reservoir.
The pub's own car park to the side and rear of the pub is a really tight affair.
The pub itself is fairly small and has a cosy feel to it, with a tiny front bar and two more sections beyond, with the largest at the rear for diners, of which there were 2 or 3 tables still in for our late Saturday lunchtime visit.
Just the two real ales were on - Eagle Bombardier and Glamorgan Try Time. I'd not seen the rugby themed Welsh beer before and gave that a "try". It was nice to find something slightly different on the beer front. But there was nothing to really make this pub stand out and I'll stick with my scoring of 5/10 for this one, as I did with all of my first 5 pubs on this day trip to Northamptonshire.
