Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Garibaldi Hotel
Traditional(ish) corner pub, although what is now a U-shaped bar has no doubt been remodelled at some stage. Doing excellent business on a Thursday evening, with a mostly younger crowd in for the quiz night. Also has a large beer garden out in the side yard. I was perhaps expecting more than two of the six handpumps to be in use in a Good Beer Guide pub, but I found just a couple of Roman Way cask beers being served: Venus (£4.20) and Senate Gold.

This is a one roomed pub with some nice tiling, a great fireplace and a leather sofa & chairs. It's trying to be very hip and trendy and is selling itself as a craft ale bar. This is an unusual idea as it's in a suburban area and quite a walk from Northampton centre. There's also a cellar area with skittles, pool & darts. 6 handpumps with 4 on, 2 serving cask ale and 2 serving real cider on my visit. My pint of Backyard Fiesta was very hazy, but it tasted OK. Several craft keg fonts including 3 from Camden. It's a bit of a strange place in my opinion, but I'd give it anaother go, just to see how they're getting on.
