The Woolcomber has an L-shaped central bar that serves open plan seating to the front and seating around a pool table to the right. All of this pool table seating was reserved during an early evening visit so I expect I visited not long before pool league night. Televisions are found throughout for showing Sky Sports, muted news was being shown. The bar supports standard keg alongside Birra Moretti and I spotted two pairs of hand pumps. Laine Brewery’s Sleigh What! And Sharp’s Doom Bar were available from one pair and the other was unused. Cheap pub grub is available and there are meal deals throughout the week. This place is OK for an estate pub on the edge of the local parade of shops, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.
