A detached, Victorian (at least) pub and B&B, once called just the Bell Inn, with a patio area. It is an elongated cottage, in cream render, with a couple of bay windows near the central entrance. The interior is now an open plan, large L-shape, now all the interior walls have been removed. To the right of the entrance, a few steps will lead you off to a loungey looking area where there is a nice tiled fireplace and a TV (not on). The bar is to the left on entry, which has greenish walls and red fabric seating. Then, to the side, there is a pool area, with a wood floor. The TVs up this end were not on and the music came via the jukebox at a decent enough level. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of a few mature locals playing pool. Beer; usual taps, with 4 handpulls - although only Greene King IPA was on. It was as good as it could be - half being enough. I got the feeling this place may have been taken over recently. I agree with Alan's review - a decent enough pub to have a beer, but it clearly lacks the choice of his visit.

The Blue Bell is a nice looking pub with a long frontage,it is situated at the end of the shopping street and faces it.
Once inside the bar faces, this is a narrow area in the middle area of the pub, there is enough space for bar stools and high chairs opposite the bar,the left side opens out into a square area with comfy bench seating and small stools and chairs, there is a raised area off this to the rear left, this had a pool table and a couple of tables and chairs, the right side is through a doorway with no door, this area looks more like a lounge, with comfy bench seating and chairs, the far right of this area was down a few steps.
There was a TV at each end of the pub both showing bling date.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Everards Tiger bitter which was a decent drink, the other beers were Theakston best and GK IPA.
This is a decent and comfortable pub to have drink in.
