A refurbishment has left a modern bar feeling,with leather sofas by the entrance,high tables opposite the bar and then an extended rear with comfy chairs,dining type tables and eventually a rear beer garden.In one of the rear sections there is a mixing table so it could get more hectic at weekends,but on my Wednesday evening visit everything was calm and the sports flatscreen at the front was on mute.
The landlord and landlady are friendly and chatty and there is a community boozer atmosphere,with some events held.
Just two handpumps serving GK Abbot and TT Landlord (NBSS 3) at very reasonable prices and with a happy hour discount.Decent enough pub,well used and respectable.
