Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Boat Inn
Fine old traditional pub retaining two separate bars, the main one being absolutely covered in Union Jacks, and the other not in general use by the look of things. Smart semi-traditional furniture throughout, and a modest part-covered patio beer garden on the car park side. Four cask ales available from a total of five handpumps split between the two counters, offering the local March Hare from Digfield (£4.00), Butcombe Original, Wainwright Amber and Iron Pier's Admiral & Mosaic 'Joined at the Hop'.

A top local on the edge of town featuring both a small lounge and large, busy bar.
Our midweek visit found the local darts team gathering and The Boat does seem to have plenty of social events on.
The governor gave us, and all comers, a cheery welcome which sets the tone for the place.
Beers on were Jennings Cocker Hoop, Oldershaw Heavenly Blonde and Pitchfork Pitchfork with the very well kept Cocker Hoop sliding down well.
Well worth the short walk from town for a visit.

Occupying a street corner location high above the Kings Dyke navigable drain, this is a very solid free house boozer which also offers B&B.There are two rooms with their own bar access,a lounge to the right and a main room to the left where the regulars gather, many on bar stools. There is a darts board,Sky screen, fruit machine and fairy lights ,while the semi circular bar is topped off by timbered eves. There is a most impressive spirits range which is quite a feature ,while there are 3 handpumps from which a very decent couple of pints of Jennings Cocker Hoop were enjoyed, fully justifying the 2019 GBG entry.
There was a lot of well natured banter amongst the regulars and a friendly welcome from behind the bar.
In the lobby was an unused Jug & Bottle window, and the pub interior is quite traditional and unpretentious.I liked it a lot and would happily return.
