The Black Horse had an affluent crowd in the dining section not long after lunch during a recent Wednesday visit. The parquet floored main bar area to the left of the entrance runs across the front of the pub where a serving counter faces some seating under the front windows. On the left-hand wall is a large television that was off, Six Nations rugby was advertised. There was some low background music playing. The counter supports four hand pumps, three of which were in operation drawing GK IPA, Digfield Ales Fool’s Nook and Black Horse Black Bess, which I believe is also a GK beer. Standard and premium keg were also available from the polite young barman.
The parquet flooring, and a few tiled areas, wrap around to the right where a dining area runs up the right-hand side of the pub. At the rear is some sofa seating and upstairs is a function room. Out the back is a patio garden, it was a bit cold to be wandering around outside. This place is OK and is worth stopping at for a pint if passing.

Very impressed with the new managment changes, went there friday night for a drink with my friends and ended up having a really good time, enjoyed good music, food and drinks. They offered a wide range of vegitarian food which i was impressed with also has a great selection of top wines. I will be going back next friday !!

Amazing place. We went for a drink but after we saw the food on their black boards we couldn`t resist.
We ordered Lamb Liver and Bacon and Belly Pork, I have to say I have been in so many places and I have
never been so satisfied from the food. I asked them if they changed the Chefs and they explained to me
that there different owners now. Good choice of chefs and management. I am very impressed.
