A very pretty pub but a bit moderinised inside albeit with some remaining older features, mainly old beams in the ceiling. The right side is a fairly posh restaurant while to the left is badged as a bar lounge. Both areas have three pulls with the same beers and some kegs. An odd choice of Taylors Landlord or Boltmaker plus a more local and very average Adnams Southwold. The kegs on a lowish, larger bore T with half a dozen middling beers; plus Guinness and cider. It has a screen and piped music. Seating in the lounge is at tables and chairs with a sprinkling of leather armchairs. Very little decor but what is there is interesting woody stuff. The barmaid was still pressing napkins between serving punters.

The right-hand side of the White Hart is a restaurant, so I remained in the left-hand side where there was a young local throuple, and the barmaid who was mainly pressing napkins in a small napkin pressing machine. The décor is very modern, but the low beams across the ceiling suggest that this is an aged pub, although any character has been stripped out as the bar now feels like a holding area for the restaurant next door. The television was airing muted Channel 5 while some very low background music was playing during a recent Tuesday evening visit. Tables and chairs run up the left and a serving counter up the right; this isn’t the biggest space. Premium keg was available alongside three hand pumps that were badged with TT Landlord and Boltmaker alongside Adnam’s Southwold, but only the Boltmaker was available. I’m sure the food is very nice, but I’ll not be visiting just for a beer again.
