Old Boots left this review about The Black Horse Inn
Not really a pub, we were greeted with “hello, have you booked?” Inside the old pub forms a long dining room with the counter, WhatPub calls it “a cozy lounge and bar” but it is furnished almost entirely with tables and chairs set for dining. There are bar stools beside the counter so perhaps casual drinkers are tolerated, it’s a fair way to the nearest pub so I do hope so. Three pulls here with Taylor’s Boltmaker and two from Black Sheep, Best and Respire, usual suspects on keg. Behind up a level is a larger dining room in a modern extension. Stone floors and plain walls predominate but there are some maps and posters among the blackboards and awards. The restaurant is award winning, the beer however sadly average.
