Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Spotted Cow

Fine looking pub, standing in the middle of the cattle market (although that was not in progress when I visited so all was peaceful in the autumnal sunshine). The main bar and seating area lies straight ahead from the entrance corridor, with a single step to catch the unwary. Surprisingly, for such a traditional pub, no handpumps were visible to start with, but I did then see a smaller counter off to one side which turned out to be for the 'tap room' behind an anonymous door to the left as you enter. I found a pair of Timothy Taylor beers on tap; Landlord of course, plus the Golden Best (£4.50) and savoured my pint while admiring my heritage surroundings.

Old Boots left this review about The Spotted Cow

Recently reopened after a refurb. Multi room layout. The yobbish punters and poor beer quality make this one to swerve, previously in the GBG but very doubtful if it'll ever be again on this showing.
