Old Boots left this review about The Ivy Cottage
A traditional two bar brick built estate pub probably dating from the nineteen fifties. The public bar has fitted benches at wooden tables, a plank-work counter and a big brick fireplace, altogether a very masculine room. When approaching the bar watch out for the oche, a large piece of steel about 2” high. Two handpumps with a very acceptable John Smiths Cask as well as the usual kegs. The lounge has more elegent fitted benches finished in green velour, the counter here also carries two pulls and keg founts. Outside is a fine smoking shelter and some outside seating.
