Pretty much a locals pub, but several of the locals were women drinking wine rather than high vis blokes. A central bar serves both rooms and it's very dog friendly as there were several in the pub. A couple of TT beers on the bar alongside an Ossett beer. Looks like it has a decent food trade with loads of menus around. My pint was in decent nick and MS CAMRA like the rose wine. It's not in the top tier of pubs around here, but it's still a decent pub.

A tarted-up pub just off the market place arranged round a central servery. Much of the woodwork has been stripped down, including the floor and bar front, with lots of plain, dark wood dining room-style furnishings, especially in the area round the back, so a sort of modernish feel but with a fairly relaxed atmosphere. Cask ales were still TT Landlord and Boltmaker and Ossett Blonde. Being early doors the first one pulled was a bit dodgy but it was swiftly replaced. I might come here to eat but not much of a boozer.

Pretty much a local's pub, who tend to congregate around the front bar. A few visitors who were most probably staying here, were having a bite to eat. The interior was comfortable with a mix of boarded and tiled flooring, white painted walls, apart from a bare red brick wall at one end. The two main features were the sanded back and scorched timber bar front and the two pillars on the bar, which were elaborately decorated in the style of Klimt, as Old Boots observed. The two young barmaids looked up the local artist online. Four pumps with three on, TT Boltmaker, Landlord and Ossett Yorkshire Blonde.
