Pub has changed hands twice in the past few months and seems to be struggling a little.

Food is great, service is the same.

Very clean, warn and cosy interior. Prices are so-so depending on what you order and seems to be lacking in real ales these days.
Large rear car park, comfortable exterior smoking area and at the time of this review is now offering a very good quality Karaoke/Disco ever Friday at 8pm. A great atmospheric feel, nice staff and overall pleasant.

Good choice if Real Ales in well decerated pub.
On street parking available (1 hour limit) and car parks near by.
Food available and accomadation.

#Large car park at rear access on Pontefract Road#

* on a recent visit all 4 Real Ales available came from the Marstons stable*

This is definitley a food pub and I havent had a bad meal yet.Braised Belly Pork on special and Sunday lunch carvery very good witha wide and varied choice.
