Strongers . left this review about The Chase
The Chase has a bar counter on the rear wall that faces some high tables and then some standard tables and chairs that sit under a couple of large televisions that were showing Premier League football during my recent midweek evening visit. In the front of the pub is open plan seating geared towards dining, this is a Hungry Horse pub after all. This area includes an ‘over 8’s area’ for those wishing to escape those pesky seven-year-olds. Round to the right rear of the bar is another seating area with some more televisions. During half time the sound was turned off and some background music played.
Standard keg was available alongside San Miguel, the Peroni, Stella, Carlsberg and Guinness were all off. The three hand pumps were drawing 2x Greene King IPA and Lilley’s Woowoo cider. The food is dead cheap, a pint and a burger with chips for £12. That said, the food was truly awful. The staff were polite, but this place has little else going for it.

Modern(ish) Hungry Horse outlet on the edge of town, but rather more civilised than I was expecting given my previous experience of this chain. Nothing much to say about the various seating / dining areas inside, other than finding the coronavirus precautions rather overbearing, but the patio beer garden was pleasant enough in the sun. Just Greene King IPA (£2.60) and Abbot available from the three handpumps.
