Strongers . left this review about Black Horse
The Black Horse has banquettes to the right of the entrance and in the bay window to the left. On the left-hand wall is a dartboard adjacent to some more banquette seating. The L-shaped bar counter faces the front entrance and seating that stretches up right to the rear. Some background music was playing, and the televisions were airing muted Sky Sports News. My visit was before any live sports had started. The bar supports standard keg alongside San Miguel and four of the five hand pumps were in operation drawing a couple from Nethergate brewery, an offering from the local Drenchfoot brewery and Greene King IPA. This is a decent pub and I would return if passing.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Black Horse
Despite its location, looks and feels like a village pub both outside and within. It has probably been opened out a bit at some stage, but the 'L-shaped layout remains very traditional. With four of five handpumps in use, I went for the Nethergate Venture (£3.30) in preference to the Wainwright, Ringwood Razor Back and Greene King IPA. The tables were almost fully booked (which is the first time I've encountered this since the lockdown, but says something for this place's local renown) and the friendly landlord managed to find me a spot out in the sunshine on one of the wooden tables at the front.
