Two room pub at bottom of the High St, to the right the room is more than a bit cafe-like while the lefthand room is a little more pubby. There’s a couple of hand pulls in the left hand side but about six casks are on sale so I suspect on gravity, there was a list of 6 in the right hand bar and a tiny blackboard in the left hand room with 3 beers listed, none very inspiring being mostly national BBBs, I had a mediocre Wherry. Carpet, telly and light pine furniture in the lefthand bar, with a vaguely nautical theme the ceiling is covered in old charts, there’s boat name plates, fishing boat tackle and battleship grey woodwork.

The Lobster was busy with Friday lunchtime diners on my recent Friday lunchtime visit. I was ensconced in the smaller of the two main rooms, which had numerous tables crammed in, all of them turning over rapidly.
I skipped the food, and settled for a pint of Jigfoot - a golden ale from the local Moon Gazer Brewery, served on gravity - the pumps are mainly for decoration, it would seem as, of the 5, two had clips turned, one was advertising Pride, and the last was completely unadorned. Nevertheless, the beer was good.
The limited ale selection may be a problem for the beer purist, but I'd have no problem returning (albeit that's an unlikely prospect given the distance).

Tidy, semi nautically themed pub sited in a prominent position at the foot of High Street. On my lunchtime visit they had a log fire on the go,and had a fairly large bank of cask beers on,although not all the pumps were not all functional, but the pub did seem to be doing a fair trade in the food department.
