Not a bad Spoon's but nothing to get excited about. There are a couple of distinct drinking areas and there were several ales on and those I tried were in good nick. This pub does not have the feel as the usual Spoon's and is a fair way out of the city centre.

This is an original mid twentieth century roadside pub that doesn't seem to have been altered that much. It's a roughly L shaped room that is carpeted and has fairly typical furnishings. There is a patio / garden at the rear and a car park belonging to the pub at the front. Overall it's not that large for a Spoons.
There are just eight hand pumps which had one unused, one available soon, the JDW Trio Of Doom, Wolf Norfolk Pride, Hook Norton Nerdherder IPA and Nethergate Lemon Head. I went for the Norfolk Pride (£2.59) which was in good nick.
I thought this was OK as a Spoons but having two hand pumps out of use when there are only eight is not too clever.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Whiffler (JD Wetherspoon)

Proper suburban pub, still comprising two large bars with various seating areas. Also retains some dark wood panelling as well as the usual 'spoons furniture and decor. Rear beer garden, plus a few benches out front with a fine view of the car park and traffic on Boundary Road! Eight handpumps in two banks, with the usual suspects plus several more interesting beers (e.g. a very keenly-priced pint of Mauldons Blackberry Porter at £2.29 when I visited a couple of months ago). Seemed well managed, and not a bad spot for a pint and quick meal.
