The Chairman left this review about The Ram
The Ram had been closed for a while after the managers left, but reopened in early 2024 under the same management as between 2018 and 2020. Situated on the main road through the village, this is now a pub aimed at local trade with no frills but still smart enough to be a pleasant place to pass some time. There is a garden at the back of the pub which was very busy when I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and a seafood van in the car park doing a decent trade - other than this the pub doesn't do food but apparently customers are welcome top bring in a takeaway. The real ales on offer were Greene King IPA, Taylor's Landlord and Woodforde's Wherry - the Wherry was excellent, scoring 4 on the NBSS scale.

Used to be a reasonable pub but Now inundated with youngsters and the females screeching.. No place for a peaceful pint anymore.
One has to put up with a continuous stream of people walking backwards and forward through the bar so they can get to the smoking area.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Ram
Fairly plain-looking pub, with (1960s?) front and side extensions, under threat of closure and conversion to a Tesco Express. The interior retains a two-bar layout and has a certain dated charm. Nice spot to sit in the front bay alcove in the lounge. Pool table in public bar. Beer garden to rear, with a children's' play area. Friendly welcome. Just Greene King IPA (£3.35) available from three handpumps. This one would be a major loss to the community, so let's hope it survives...
