A modernised village pub on the green with seating in front which I guess was prompted by the pandemic restrictions. Some black and white photos displayed inside show how it has changed over the years. Inside it's all smart modern furniture and RSJs boxed in and painted to look like wooden beams. The bar has three hand pumps with Greene King beers on, but it was before licensed hours so I had a cup of coffee, though that was only filter as the coffee machine hadn't been switched on yet. Maybe I'll come back another time for a beer.

The Black Swan is a long slender pub by the junction with the Norwich road. At the left hand end there is the main bar area. It is very well kept and is like a lounge bar in an old pub. Leading off from that is the restaurant area, which is equally well kept, there is a door to the car park at the rear, Greene King IPA was available at £3.15 and Old Golden Hen at £3.30. The bar is open all day, with food at lunchtimes and evenings. A nice place to visit.
