My friends and I venutre across to Woodwalton from time to time to visit the Elephant and Castle. Nick gets his Chinese takeaway from the Hot Wok which is based at the pub - and very good they are too.
Last night we popped in for a couple of beers and found that the pub had changed hands. Sylvester bought the place last week and moved in on Friday. He's a young chap with plenty of experience of property refit and renovation and plans to bring the E&C up to scratch. That'll be good because it's always been a friendly place although a little run down. He also plans to open on a regular basis from 5pm and put on events. Looking forward to it - he's a nice guy and t'll be a pleasure to frequent it more often.
