An old coaching inn as evidenced by the big archway in the narrow street, but entrance is now around the side through the car park. Once inside it's very smart and quite busy with plenty of diners on an early spring afternoon when I was here. The bar has four hand pumps and three Adnams beers were available. My half of Southwold Bitter was cool and initially pleasant, but a slight banana-ish flavour soon became apparent.
