The only pub in the village and well populated on our midweek visit despite it's apparent lack of attractions.
I'd guess that this is pubco owned and that the overt shabbiness, lack of cask ale choice - GK IPA and Doom Bar - and poorly kept beers from all dispense methods is due to ownership issues.
A traditional building, well situated on the Great Ouse and without nearby competition this place appears perfect for a takeover and refurb but is, I suspect, just as likely to end up as housing.

A village local not really taking advantage of it's riverside location on the Great Ouse. There is a public bar to the left of the entrance which is rather scruffy with well worn bench seating in green velour,a sofa ,a pool table and a flatscreen with something called Carling TV,a mix of soccer and rugby possibly a reselling of BT Sport. The former lounge is now an Indian restaurant although there is still a bar counter here with the two real ales and a bar stool for any customer who wants to get away from the sweary locals in the public.
Needless to say the ale choice is very poor in GK IPA and Doom Bar,which wasn't in bad nick it's just doesn't taste of much.My colleagues went for the mainstream keg options but even their Red Stripe was a bit cloudy and flacid.Given this lack of care,we weren't inclined to try a curry here,no was anyone else .We departed swiftly unlikely to return.Even the riverside beer garden looked unkempt, this place could be so much better but may fail in it's current guise.
