Strongers . left this review about The Sportsman Arms
The Sportsmans is a rectangular brown carpeted pub where, on a recent Tuesday evening, a group of men were playing pool on the table to the right that is faced by green banquettes that run under the front windows and a log burning fireplace on the right-hand wall. A high table has been fashioned around a central supporting column that separates a dartboard in the front left corner and more banquettes with tables up the left wall from the pool table area. A television was airing muted late afternoon terrestrial television and some music played in the background. The serving counter, split in the centre by another supporting column, is lined with standard keg alongside Cruzcampo. There is a single hand pump, but it looked like it hadn’t been used in a long time. The service was friendly and there was a good atmosphere generated by the ten or so locals, so I would pop back in if passing.
