Strongers . left this review about The Coachmakers Arms
The Coachmakers is a small pub with a worn wooden floor and a wood panelled L-shaped serving counter up the right-hand wall where standard keg options were available from a friendly barmaid during a recent early Tuesday evening visit when some sporadic karaoke was taking place, well either that or the governor has blue hair and likes to walk around the pub singing on a microphone. There are a couple of hand pumps, but they’ve not been used for a long time. There’s also a heated pie cabinet on the bar that had a solitary sausage roll in it, the barmaid was called out for side-eyeing it a few times. At the rear is a large cage where Billie the parrot in incarcerated and there are far too many televisions for a pub this small, Sky Sports and Racing TV were both muted. I didn’t feel unwelcome, but I thought this was a weird place and I don’t plan on revisiting.

If you have never been, you have to go. With lots of entertainment ranging from "Pensioners" Karaoke early Monday nights, Live entertainment with The Hi-Lights on a Wednesday & Saturday afternoons and Ian (the Landlord) doing karoke Friday nights and live entertainment Sunday afternoons, it is a reallt fun pub, lots of locals and tourists mix in this pub, very friendly, lots of joking about and fun to be had. House doubles £2 reasonable prices for beers etc, bottled carlsberg at £1 as well!
