The Apollo Tavern is situated slightly out of town on the top end of Northgate street towards the hospital. According to some of the locals we spoke to, this is one of the most recently improved pubs in Great Yarmouth for Ale choice and now offers 8 cask ales dispensed either from the row of hand pumps on the bar or from the fake rustic wooden casks on the shelves behind. .
Predominantly a sports orientated pub with a pool table and a dartboard in one section and then ESPN and Sky Sports, available on 4 plasma screens dotted around the pub.
The beer choice included some mainstream offerings of London Pride, Adnams Broadside and TT Landlord, but there were enough local brewery ales on offer to make the Apollo worth the trek away from the main drag.

Well kept real ales and some good beer deals. Been there a few times now and 'always on the list'
