This traditional country pub is very welcoming and friendly. The entrance to the pub is via the car park on the right. This pub is the only outlet for the Old Chimneys Beers on draught, the rest of the beers are bottled. The micro brewery is situated less than a mile from here. The pub has lots of empty beer bottles displayed around the top of the walls. Also there was a display of lots of travel postcards over the top of the bar area. Lots of tables were set out for dining and around lunchtime the pub was full.
I tried the Military Mild, which was not to my taste. The Old Chimneys Goldcrest was also in good shape, but l wouldn't have gone for a second one.
