What could have been an excellent unspoilt village local was somewhat detracted by the highly stand-offish, bar-blocking customers and the apathetic barmaid who completely ignored me, preferring her conversation with one of same. The aged interior has beams and a few uprights where once were walls, while to one side is a games area with pool table. Features include a nice brick chimney and there is a profusion of horse brasses in all directions. Ales on were Lacons Bloom, Norfolk Moongazer Nibbler and Earl Soham Victoria. I might have just been unlucky but certainly wouldn't rush back, despite its attractions, and it could easily have scored higher.
