An aged old building, claiming to date back to 1534 and a pub since 1601. The cosy beamed interior has a fair bit of bare brick and sundry ornamentation. A separate side bar lurks behind a patio area and feels like a mock Tudor garage. Beers a bit disappointing with Greene King IPA and Abbot, plus Doom Bar for no apparent reason - condition acceptable if not brilliant. I can't say it appealed to me very much.

This is a pub that I've frequented quite often over the past 10 years or so. It's a lovely little village pub next to Heathrow's northern runway.
We often come here for the food. It's nothing special and is quite expensive. But the location is convenient.
Yesterday, the 2 ales were Sharp's Doom Bar & Rebellion IPA. Unsurprisingly, the pub attracts travellers from Heathrow and the surrounding hotels and workplaces. As such, it has been fairly quiet recently.

Well at least the prices haven't gone up much since John's visit. Just paid £4 a pint of ale, although there are cheese and biscuits on the bar so I'm trying to get my money's worth. Picturesque little pub with low ceilings in a village setting. Captive audience I suspect.
