This pub has a centre bar with some seating by the front windows to the left of the entrance and some more which were set up for dining at the rear of the pub. The bar is double sided with draught pumps at the front and back, but although there are signs outside advertising real ale I only found standard draught products and unused hand pumps. There is a room to the right of the entrance which houses a pool table and a projector screen. Past this side room is the exit to a small ‘beer terrace’ which has a tent to cover some of the picnic tables which have been covered with mdf for some reason. Some potted plants at the front of this space are a nice touch, but the rear looks like a builder’s yard. There are also another couple of picnic tables on the veranda outside the front of the pub.
As mentioned before food is served, from 12 until 6 everyday according to a sign on the side wall of the pub exterior and the A-board outside gives the times as 12 until 8, but the menus inside state all day – so take your pick.
There is a building out the back past the car park which has strippers every Saturday night and Reggae on the last Saturday of every month. I’m not sure if the strippers are present on reggae night, but it wouldn’t surprise me. There is also a quiz which is held on Tuesday nights and on Fridays there is Karaoke and a disco, but I’m not sure whether this is in the pub or the building out back.
This over 21s pub had seen better days and a return visit is unlikely.
