Now been converted into houses and flats. The old Swan sign has been retained and is embedded in the exterior wall of the property

Well that didn't take long. The site has now been sold to Clearview Homes 'for future development' and the hoardings have gone up. In a way I hope they knock it down soon, it's a bit sad to see an old pub like this hiding behind boards and knowing that it's days are numbered.

Still boarded up and it looks like it may be terminal. The story I heard was that the pub lost it's licence after allegations of illegal behaviour and the Landlord decided not to fight to get it back and left. I guess there's a pub co out there somewhere wondering whether the pub is worth saving. I hope so as it's a nice looking historic old pub in a nice location opposite Harefield Common. It's also fairly close to the cricket club and I recall visiting a few Sunday lunchtimes times to try to recruit players when we found ourselves short.
