A comfortable, middle-class sort of pub in the pedestrianised area. A copper-topped bat sets the scene, with library-style décor and numerous old photos and other ephemera on odd walls. One side is more of a dining area while the other has leather armchairs. Beers are from the Badger range in pretty good condition - Fursty Ferret, Pickled Partridge, Badger Best and other alliteratives.

Hall and Woodhouse pub to tucked away a on a side street. Central copper topped bar served Badger real ales. My first proper glass post NFL at twickenham.

Looking every bit a traditional pub on the exterior, the theme continues inside albeit rather clean and modern in feel. Its basicly one long meandering room leading on to a lounge type area.Upon entering the pub I was pleased to note a line up of 10 handpumps on the attractive light wood and copper topped bar, however on closer inspection there were many duplicates, four Badger First Call's,Three Furstey Ferret's,two Tanglefoot (or should that be Tanglefeet) and a lone K&B Sussex Bitter,so a little disappointed there but I suppose it looks better than six unclipped handled. The Furstey Ferret was Ok and as expected.
I found this pub to be alright,I certainly didn't dislike it and would call in again, but it seemed slightly too clean ,almost corparate in feel, staff in uniform etc, from that point of view and given the not so appealing (to me) beer range ,The Eel Pie didn't quite live up to my high expectations.
