Clive Thompson left this review about The Abercorn Arms
Originally a coaching inn dating back to the 1800’s and allegedly visited by Louis XVIII the exiled King of France following his restoration in 1814. More recently it was owned by Ember Inns who then sold it and it went downhill a bit and had a few licensing problems. Became one of those Indian restaurant/bar places and is now enclosed by hoardings with an uncertain future - possibly another restoration.
